Our team of enthusiastic teachers, mostly native English speakers, work closely together to provide an enriching environment for the natural development of each child. You can read more about the teachers in the individual group sections.
Above all, safety is of the utmost importance to us at the VEP. Each class has 2 or 3 full time teachers (one certified and one of which is a fully trained first aider).
In order to ensure the children's security during their time at the VEP we have a pin-code lock on the main entrance and safety gates surrounding the front garden.
Feeling safe is very important to a child's well being and development, so this is an issue we keep at the forefront of our care routine.

Our extensive library of English books is constantly updated and renewed by our teachers.
We are constantly improving our classroom materials and teaching aids to support all areas of teaching (including Art, Music, Scientific thinking, Geography, Literacy and Numeracy).
The teachers try to include as many exciting outings as possible throughout the year to various nearby places of interest.
A full range of interesting, exciting and educational activities are an essential part of preschool life. To support our activities we are constantly updating, renewing and enriching our kindergarten with new materials and resources.
DONATIONS: We have begun our own Preschool library, allowing our children to enjoy a variety of books during library time or whenever they feel like discovering the magical world of picture books. We invite each family to donate a book, inscribed with the donor's name, and thus contribute to one of the most important parts of our English Preschool.
Progress Report
Parents are encouraged to make an appointment on our Report Day to discuss their child's progress with his or her teacher.
If you feel you would have anything of interest or value to contribute to any of our monthly topics, please feel free to discuss this with your child's teacher.
Parent Evenings
Held once a year, Parent Evenings provide an excellent opportunity for parents to meet the staff and discuss the curriculum or any other interests concerning your child. We understand that each child has individual needs, and thus welcome any and all suggestions to make your child´s stay at VEP a rewarding step toward a bright future.
Extra-Curricular Programmes
Many external clubs and courses are available to the VEP children including, the ever popular Art Club, Dance Class, Music Class, Drama Class and German Lessons, plus many more - please see the notice board in the preschool for more information on how to join.
Summer Programme
At the VEP we offer an exciting and fun Summer programme for children ages 1 1/2 - 7 in July and the second half of August. The schedule changes from year to year but always includes indoor and outdoor activities, and outings to places of interest in Vienna.
During the summer months, children who do not usually attend the preschool are also welcome to join us. (Please note that this programme does require prior registration and an additional fee to be paid separately - please contact the director for more information).
VEP promotes open and candid discussions and brainstorming sessions to create a transparent environment in which the exchange of ideas and new and better work processes are encouraged and implementedfor the overall improvement of our quality education programs and the health, safety and comfort of our children. As a result, VEP enjoys an excellent record and outstanding reputation among parents and children in the city of Vienna. VEP's registration has improved in the last several years and the school has now reached its full capacity for enrollment. VEP now maintains a waiting list for future pupils.
