The Vienna English Preschool (VEP) was founded in 2004 from an established kindergarten and has been educating young children for over ten years. The VEP is a private English speaking care facility for children between 18 months and 6 years old.
We are very proud of our multicultural pupils and native English spaeking staff, and the richness and variety this diversity brings to our environment. Our harmonious learning environment ensures that each child has the freedom and guidance to discover, explore and develop at his or her own pace.
The Preschool consists of three bright and cheerful classrooms:
The YELLOW group:
(toddlers from 1½ to 3 years)
The GREEN group:
(ages 3 to 4 years)
The BLUE group:
(for pre-schoolers aged 5 to 6)
Our classrooms are always decorated with up-to-date colourful, inspiring and lively examples of the children's work which helps to expand their creative intelligence and intellectual development. All our classrooms are equipped with the very latest learning materials, which offer a wide range of activities in order to aid development in all areas.
Each classroom has full access to the extensive gardens and playground - fantastic for exploring, whatever the weather!
Just next door to our kindergarten we have a newly equipped gymnasium (140m2), which provides our school with a perfect space to exercise and a facility for the children to express themselves though movement.
This is the space where the athletics programme takes place (included in the curriculum) as well as the extra curricular activities - Art Club, Dance Workshop, Musical Theatre programme, Music Programme and Sports Programme.
Each of the groups are able to use the gym for games, playing with musical instruments and expressing themselves through movement.
This is also where we host our special celebrations for the parents throughout the year, like the Summer Party.
We are very lucky to be surrounded by both the
DonauRiver and the many beautiful parks along the river bank. This provides safe and varied outdoor recreational opportunities for our children.
The preschool is located only a few minutes walk from the Vienna International Centre which is home to the United Nations, as well as the Donau-City shopping and residential development.
For parents with children over the age of six, there are many schools in the vicinity of the VEP including the Vienna Bilingual School (VBS) which is conveniently just a few metres away.
